“When Achish asked, “Where did you go raiding today?” David would say, “Against the Negev of Judah” or “Against the Negev of Jerahmeel” or Against the Negev of the Kenites,” 1Samuel 27:10

Be wise as a warrior.  The warrior David never let on all that he was doing.  Even though he was no longer in Israel, he was fighting for Israel.  He never left his Father’s hands or mission even when he was in exile.  In fact, he led his enemy to believe that he was on their side and covered his tracks with them.  David destroyed a lot of his enemies while in Philistine

There is a time to be a spy in another land.   There is a time to be of the mind of Christ while in foreign territory.  Set yourself up so you can do God’s work.  Set yourself up and then do what He has called you to do.  Do it well so you may prosper in the Lord.  Do it well

“For he says, “In the time of my favor heard you and in the day of salvation I helped you.”  I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation,” 2 Corinthians 6:2

The Season of Favor for you is here.  The Time of Salvation is here.  God has heard your prayer, your anguish, your hurt, your pain, and your prayers of redemption – your prayers of asking for His favor- asking if He notices you and your situation.  And, He has answered your prayer.  It’s now.  It’s now.  It’s now.

Do not waste this season of favor.  It may not last always.  But, in this Season of Favor, listen and do all God has ordained you to do.  Don’t fret.  Don’t worry.  Don’t cry.  Get moving on the path God has for you.  It’s abundant living and it’s yours today.  Don’t ignore.

And, remember to store up (save) for the rainy days.  Remember those days of want.  Remember they may come again.  So place some aside.  Remember to give God all of His first.  Remember the tithe.  Remember the praise.  Remember your God.

And step my child into God’s favor and be drenched, overflowing, too much to carry, it is yours today!

“They were a source of grief to Isaac and Rebekah,” Genesis 26:35

Children will disappoint their parents.  And, their spouses may cause much grief.  This verse is a surprise but it is understandable.  The women that Esau married were not of he same faith as Esau’s family.  They could and would draw him away from his family beliefs.  Sometimes we cause grief to our parents – they don’t understand our choices.  Sometimes we cause grief to our God.  We make unhealthy choices for ourselves, our families, and our representation of our faith.  We must be aware of our choices and search God before we make our choices.

“Jesus replied, ‘No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God,” Luke 9:62

We cannot move forward into the purpose and blessing God has for you if you are still defining yourself by the things of your past – if you are still looking at things in your past with regret and trying to change it or rearrange it.  Our past has happened.  It cannot be altered.  We are to accept it as our past and move forward into the blessings and purpose God has for us now.  Don’t look back.  It will cause you to stumble like Lot’s wife.  Move forward to the new that God has for you.

“Joanna the wife of Cuza, the manager of Herod’s household; Susanna, and many others.  These women were helping to support them out of their own means,” Luke 8:3

Women were serving Christ and learning directly from Him.  There were a group; even one that was mentioned was married – and to a prominent person.  Don’t be afraid to minister.  Don’t believe that because you are a woman that you are less than man.  Don’t believe that you are less than anyone around you.  God has called you to a specific purpose.  And, it’s time to move into it.  Fear is not for you.  But utilize faith.  Move in the supernatural spaces in the natural.  Do the Lord’s work.  Each has a place and now is your time.  Be not afraid or anxious.

“When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city for the Lord was merciful to them,” Genesis 19:16

Everything God has for you is for you.  And when you hesitate to move in the way God has for you, He gives you mercy and take your hand and leads you to His promises for you.  No promise He has made for you will go unfulfilled.

The enemy may try to convince you otherwise, but it is up to you to put God’s words into practice.  So you might have life.  God is not worried about your hesitation; He is worried about your salvation.  So you are to keep your hands in His and move.

“Why do you call me Lord, Lord and do not do what I say,” Luke 6:46

Many times we ask God what He wants us to do and we ignore where He wants us to go and what He wants us to do.  Often, we ignore His advice.  And, He says His words will keep our house standing in the midst of a terrible storm.  All we have to do is do what God tell us.  It’s time to stop playing with the Lord and put into practice what God has been telling us to do.  Our disobedience will be our destruction.  Our obedience will save our lives.

“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed,” Luke 5:16

Don’t be afraid to be alone.  You need the alone time with the Lord.  You need to go into lonely places to pray.  Your alone time with the Lord allows you to minister to others – to use God’s strength, wisdom, and glory to minister.  You can’t minister on your own strength.  If you do, you will eventually falter.

You need to receive your instruction from Him that is on high who knows all things.  Make sure that you meet with God in seclusion without other so that you can hear His words to you.  You can hear His instruction to you so that you can follow the path He has set for you and not falter.  Quiet time with the Lord is golden.

“So proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor,” Luke 4:19

It is the year of the Lord’s favor.  The verse before this one states that the good news is being preached to the poor, freedom is being proclaimed to the prisoners, sight is being given to the blind and release to the oppress and then it says to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.

Knowing Christ and doing Christ’s work allows you to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.  If you are accomplishing the works and purpose that God has for you, you are in the year of the Lord’s favor.  Move in this year of favor.  Let the Lord’s glory shine through you.  Experience the Lord’s favor today.

“As long as the earth endures seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease,” Genesis 8:22

Everything that God has created will continue on as the earth endures.  You will never be without a day to come after a night.  You will never have a season of planting and not have a season of reaping.  You will never have cold without having heat.  Or rather a winter season without a summer season.  The world will still operate the way God made it in the beginning as long as the earth endures.  But do know there will be a time when the earth will not endure.  But, God will never destroy the earth as He once did.  So have confidence that this season will indeed change.  There will always be a winter and summer.
