“If you do right, will you not be accepted?  But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it,” Genesis 4:7

Be wary of the things you do.  Make sure the things you do are in accordance to what God wants you to do.  For God will accept those things.  But when you are doing wrong, sin hides there to overtake you.  You must master it.  And, you can. But it’s easier to do right and not have to confront sin.

And, when you sin be sure to ask for forgiveness so you can see the Lord’s mercy and grace.  When you are not doing what is right.  Ask forgiveness.  So you may walk closer to God.  Cain did not repent and his consequence took his essence (something he enjoyed) away from him.  Remember there are consequences for sin.  Watch out for it – the best way is by doing right.  But, always repent when you find yourself out of order.

“So that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught,” Luke 1:4

There is no need for us to question whether or not what is written in Luke’s account is true.  He does not just write what He has seen and heard.  He investigates the things that He has written to minute details if he can find it.  He does this just as the forefathers before him.  He does this so that we may know with certainty that all of this really happened and it is true.  This is not what he has heard or was even divinely given.  The book of Luke is an account of him researching the events, speaking to many different people, and writing the final story so that we know the story of Christ is true.

“For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him,” Colossians 1:16

We were made for Jesus in God’s images – His visible self.  We were made by Him for Him along with everything else.  We are here to do God’s purpose to reach the destiny that God has for us.

And, God knows what He wants us to do and accomplish.  He knew this before the world was formed.   So we need to make sure that we dwell with Him often to confirm our pathways and to ensure that we run the right race.

Rejoice that Jesus made us for Him

When I heard this, I tore my tunic and cloak, pulled my head and heard and sit down appalled,” Ezra 9:3

Sometimes when we see sin around us, specifically when we see our own children fall short, we are so appalled we can’t move.  We realize they are us and we do the same things.  And in anguish, we go to God to find out what to do.  We don’t know.  But, we do know to ask for forgiveness.

Ask God to restore us and ours and wait to see what God wants us to do about the situation.  We messed up.  Our kids are messing up.  But, there is still hope.

So, go to God and confess and let Him cleanse us and ours.  And, move forward in the way He tells us to go.  Being appalled is great because we recognize we are out of order and God can restore us once we confess.

“Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savoir,” Habakkuk 3:18

Can this not be said enough?  Rejoice, Praise Him!  We may not see the change, the newness, and the things that are different or better; but, it is now time to rejoice and be joyful in our Savior.  He has rescued us. He is still the awesome God of Old whose glory inhabited and hovered over the earth.  He still is the God who saved His people  And, we  are His people.  Rejoice, Rejoice

“And the kingdom of Jehosaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side,” 2 Chronicles 20:30

Our enemies know we serve God.  They know that God protects us.  God knows that we have been seeking Him for input about our path and that we have been fasting.  Our fasting has not been in vain.   He hears and has heard our cry.  And He has made our enemies destroy themselves.  And now, no one wants to mess with us because our God will protect us.  So begin and continue praising God for this rest.  You did not have to participate in battle for our rest.  The peace is ours because we are faithful to God.  And, He is faithful to us.  God’s glory shines through us and people see it.  They will go around you.  They will not engage.  Rejoice because we are at rest and at peace.

“Praise be to the Lord, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses,” 1Kings 8:56

Praise God for rest.  He has given us the rest that He promised.  And God’s promises have all been met even up to the time of Moses.  Praise God for this time of rest.  God has not failed on His promises to us; it is here now.  Look around.  Believe and praise.  It is here.  The rest is here now.  Praise Him continually for it today.

“After the king was settled in his palace and the Lord had given him rest from all his enemies around him,” 2 Samuel 7:1

We have been put in place.  We are settled or rather getting settled in our new palace – our new purpose, path, and calling.  And since we are settled, God has decided to give us rest from our enemies.  I have much to accomplish for the Lord.  Ad I am unable to accomplish what He wants us to do in this season if we are constantly at war with our enemies.  We have to remember to let Gods glory shine in this season.  Keep moving, our rest is here.  Move on in our purpose.  And be thankful to God for setting us aside, especially for this time

“When they saw him, they worshipped him, but some doubted,” Matthew 28:17

Jesus came before the disciples and they worshipped Him and some doubted.  They saw Him and In the midst of worshipping Him they doubted what they were seeing.  Many will see the miracles and still doubt.  Many will see God moving in their lives and still doubt.

Doubting is not a sin.  In fact, God still calls you to move in your calling.  God can use you even when you doubt because doubting is not rejecting the truth – doubting is searching for the truth, examining it, and looking for the revelation.  And, keep moving in your call.  Don’t let doubt stop you from serving God.

“Jesus answered, ‘if I want him to remain alive until I return what is that to you?  You must follow me,” John 21:22

Jesus only cares about your call.  He doesn’t worry about anyone else’s.  He wants you to do the same.   Focus your energy on what He has called you to do.  Do you even know what that is?  Have you been so focused on everyone else that you have missed yours?  Well move forward in you call today.  Don’t delay, God’s glory won’t be able to shine the way He wants if you don’t begin utilizing your call.  So stop worrying about others and focus on your call now.
